FilmDistrict bought U.S. rights to Playing the Field, the Nu Image/Millennium Films Gabriele Muccino-directed comedy that stars Gerard Butler as a retired soccer star. his penchant for scoring off the field ruined his marriage and his relationship with his son. he returns to Virginia to win them back by coaching the kid’s soccer team, but that goal is imperiled by his wandering eye and the beautiful soccer moms that are all over the place. Jessica Biel, Judy Greer, Dennis Quaid, Uma Thurman and Catherine Zeta-Jones also star, with Noah Lomax playing the son. Butler and Alan Siegel produce with Kevin Misher, Jonathan Mostow, Heidi Jo Markel and John Thompson. Robbie Fox wrote the script.

FilmDistrict, run by Peter Schlessel and Bob Berney to launch films that can play in wide release, came right out of the gate with the hit film Insidious.

The actors paid for 13 dozen cupcakes from Cush’s Grocery and Market to be delivered on set, while shooting in the town of Shreveport, Louisiana, as an end of week treat.

Jennifer Aniston’s hair has been quite the headline grabber during her career because I’m sure we all remember the ’90s phenomenon that was the “Rachel” haircut. I remember an old interview in which Aniston talked about the Rachel hair and how it was driving her nuts so she just chopped it off into a bob. She wound up regretting that decision because she didn’t like the short hair so she was forced to use extensions which really damaged her hair.

The reason I’m bringing this up is because Aniston has cut her hair into a bob yet again! One can only hope that this time around, she really thought things through because I’d really hate to see her with Paris Hilton extensions in her hair at the end of the year.
