Kristin Cavallari Drugs Rumor – The final season of The Hills premiered last night (April 27) on MTV.
Heidi Montag set off the opening episode with a newly surgically-enhanced body from head-to-toe. But besides Montag’s “new” face being the talk of the town – Hills star Kristin Cavallari, who replaced Lauren Conrad last season, became the subject of focus when her cast mates Audrina Patridge, Stephanie Pratt and Lo Bosworth accused of her using drugs.
Cavallari appeared on The Hills aftershow dispelling the chatter of her alleged drug problem.
“I went out in Miami and for Super Bowl and had a good time,” Cavallari explained. “I’m allowed to do that. But the fact that these girls accuse me of doing drugs, which, by the way, when they bring it up, it’s so out of left field. I mean, I think I started laughing…. For them to even accuse me of that is so crazy, but it what it is.”

HIP HOP HIPPOS
Rave: Until my 2-year-old son’s favorite book became “Curious George Visits the Zoo,” I had no idea that hippos hop. As we point to animal after animal on the pages, my son tweets like a bird, quacks like a duck and roars like a lion, and then he hops like a hippo. It never fails. Every time the curious little monkey visits the hippo, my son takes it upon himself to get off the couch, put down his blanket and hop. He then gathers himself, sits back down on the couch and turns the page. I have to give it to him: hippo and hop are similar sounding words, and his little hop does resemble the “air” I would guess a hippo would get if it hopped. Bottom line is that I simply don’t have the heart to discourage the little guy’s imagination – and I think he deserves that. – Shawn Hogendorf
DONUT MAN
Rave: I have always been a fan of pro golfer Phil Mickelson. He seems to be about as down-to-earth as any celebrity I have ever seen in the spotlight and does a good job putting a personal face to the game as a family man with a sense of humor. This was evident once again when he got caught wearing his green jacket (the most coveted prize in golf) in the Krispy Kreme drive-thru (with his kids) the morning after he won the Masters. I just had to laugh. I’ve often wondered what happens to those jackets after the winner of the Masters goes home – and assumed they are placed in safe keeping until the following year. I was wrong. If you’re Mickelson, I guess you gather the kids, throw on the green jacket and head out for donuts and coffee. That seems logical enough. Here’s what Mickelson said to the media: “Throughout the week, I don’t eat a lot of sugar or carbs during a tournament. My kids wanted donuts, and I told them Monday morning we’d go to Krispy Kreme and grab something. It was a little chilly, so I threw on a jacket and went through the drive-thru.” – Shawn Hogendorf
CLUB GROWS UP
Rave: Ann M. Martin is back, and not a moment too soon for a certain generation of girls. After keeping us enraptured for 14 years with the tales of the Baby-Sitters Club, Martin recently re-teamed with Scholastic Books for a prequel to the enormously popular young adult book series. Titled “The Summer Before,” Martin’s new novel focuses on the months leading up to when Kristy Thomas, Claudia Kishi, Mary Ann Spier and Stacey McGill formed the club. While the book probably won’t save the world or even win any awards, “The Summer Before” is a fast read and succeeds in transplanting women of a certain age back to a time when all we wanted to do was date Logan Bruno and load up our kid kits. Maybe it will introduce the girls from Stoneybrook, Conn. to a whole new audience. – Meryn Fluker
‘THE HILLS’ ARE ALIVE
Rave: After what felt like far too long, “The Hills” is back with new episodes. This marks the show’s last season, and for that, I am grateful. The season premiere showcased the emergence of “Heidi 3.0,” star Heidi Montag-Pratt’s moniker for her post-plastic surgery persona, and the rest of the lead females accused Kristin Cavallari of having a drug problem. What I love about “The Hills” is how callous the cast members are and how unapologetic they are about it, though I think they may just be too aloof to notice. These girls are the only ones who can make a semi-intervention sound not like concern for a troubled friend but annoyance at a pal’s new habit. “The Hills” is like Tina Fey’s “Mean Girls” on steroids, full of backstabbing, breakups and beach parties. With only one more season left, I’m thinking this might be the year one of the stars gets hit by a bus. – Meryn Fluker

When Kristin Cavallari is on the sorta-reality show The Hills she denies using drugs, but the always reliable anonymous sources out there in the gossip world say that Kristin is a hard-partying girl who snorts cocaine.

An insider tells Us Weekly that they spotted the Hills star drinking, partying and snorting cocaine during Coachella.

SAN FRANCISCO — Halle Berry doesn’t seem to be half as sad about her split from Gabriel Aubry as we are. While we were still reeling from the realization that the world’s two most beautiful people will not be making any more babies together, the Oscar-winning actress was all smiles at a charity event.

“I can’t tell you how happy I am to be here,” Halle told the crowd at a breast cancer benefit run/walk Saturday in NYC. Though she skipped the red carpet (they have red carpets for runs now?), presumably to avoid questions about her breakup from her model beau, Halle was in high spirits as she co-hosted the event, according to People magazine.
